Office of Urban Management Workshops - questions and answers
In late 2006 the Office of Urban Management (OUM) convened workshops in communities affected by the proposed Traveston Crossing Dam. These workshops were held in:
- Kandanga on 21 November 2006
- Imbil on 5 December 2006, and
- Carters Ridge on 7 December 2006.
The purpose of the workshops was to discuss planning options for the towns and how each community wanted the planning process organised.
While some questions were answered at the workshops, residents wanted greater levels of certainty and information regarding the proposed dam.
This publication (PDF 265KB) (Xls 160KB) answers all questions asked and addresses all issues raised at these workshops.
Hard copies of this publication are from the Kandanga One Stop Shop by telephoning (07) 5488 4929 or by telephoning the Community Futures Task Force on 1800 133 258.
Records of the meetings in November and December last year are available at http://www.oum.qld.gov.au by selecting ‘Dam planning studies’.
